Trust Takes Years
Some relationships become part of the story.
In our first episode, we spoke about how every product has a story.
In Episode 2, we explored why price and value are not always the same thing.
Today, I want to share something more personal—the role that trust has played in my journey with CARE n Creation.
Because when you choose a product for someone else, you are not only choosing the product.
You are also putting your reputation and trust behind that choice.
—
A Product Doesn’t Begin With Us
By the time a product reaches CARE n Creation, it has already travelled through many hands.
There is a maker, artisan, designer or producer.
There is a seller or supplier.
There may be people involved in sourcing, finishing, packing and transporting it.
And finally, there is someone like me who decides:
“Yes, I would be happy to offer this to my customers.”
That final decision carries responsibility.
Because when I recommend something to you, I want to feel confident about what I am recommending.

What Last 2 Decades Have Taught Me
For more than 2 decades, I have had the opportunity to work with sellers and suppliers who have gradually become trusted partners in my journey.
A relationship like this doesn’t become trustworthy overnight.
It develops through many small experiences.
A conversation that is handled honestly.
A product that arrives as promised.
A problem that is acknowledged and resolved.
A commitment that is kept.
And, perhaps most importantly, consistency over time.
You begin to understand how someone works.
You learn what you can expect from them.
And slowly, a business relationship becomes something more meaningful:
the trust.
—
Trust Is More Than a Business Transaction
When you have worked with someone for many years, you begin to know more than just their products.
You know their way of working.
You know their strengths.
You understand their standards.
You know how they respond when something doesn’t go as expected.
These things matter to me when I select products for CARE n Creation.
Because ultimately, my customer trusts me to make a good choice on their behalf.
And that trust is something I don’t take lightly.
—
Does Trust Mean a Higher Price?
Not necessarily.
This is an important distinction.
I don’t believe that a product becomes better simply because it is more expensive.
And I don’t believe that a lower-priced product is automatically inferior.
Trust doesn’t work that way.
For me, trust means having confidence in the people, the process and the product.
It gives me a better understanding of what I am offering.
And it helps me make a more informed decision.
—
Why I Don’t Choose Products Only Because They Are Trending
Today, trends move incredibly quickly.
Something can become popular overnight and disappear just as quickly.
But my approach to selection is a little different.
I don’t want to fill the collection simply because something is currently popular.
I want to ask:
Is it well made?
Is it useful?
Does it have something special?
Would I be happy to recommend it?
Do I trust the source from which it comes?
Sometimes the answer is yes immediately.
Sometimes I need time.
And sometimes, the answer is simply no.
That is part of responsible curation.
—
Trust Works Both Ways
There is another side to this story.
My suppliers trust me too.
They know that when I choose something, I am not simply looking for the cheapest possible option.
They know that I value their work and their relationship with me.
And over the years, this mutual understanding has become an important part of my journey.
Good relationships are built on both sides.
—
The Invisible Part of a Product
When you look at a beautiful saree, stole, dress or handcrafted product, you may see only the finished piece.
You may not see the years of relationship behind it.
You may not see the conversations.
You may not see the experience that helped me decide to select it.
You may not see the confidence I have built in the person who supplied it.
But these invisible things are part of the journey too.
And sometimes, the things we cannot see are precisely the things that influence the choices we make.
—
What I Want CARE n Creation to Stand For
I want CARE nCreation to be a place where you can feel:
“Someone has thoughtfully selected this for me.”
Not every product will be perfect for every person.
Not every choice we make will suit everyone.
But I want every product we offer to be selected with care, honesty and responsibility.
That is the trust I hope to build with you.
And just like my relationships with suppliers, I know that your trust in CARE n Creation cannot be created through one purchase or one advertisement.
It has to be earned.
One choice at a time.
One customer at a time.
Year after year.

🌿 A Little Reflection
Think about the brands, sellers, artisans or businesses you return to again and again.
Why do you go back?
Is it the quality?
The service?
The honesty?
The consistency?
Or simply the feeling that “I know I can trust them”?
Perhaps that is one of the greatest forms of value that exists beyond the price tag.
Trust takes years to build, but only moments to lose.
That is why we treasure it.

Coming Next
Episode 4 – The Details We Often Miss
In our next episode, we’ll look at the small details that can make a difference to how we experience a product—details that may not always be visible at first glance.
Until then,
Look. Feel. Understand. Then Choose.
With gratitude,
CARE n Creation 🌿
